Welcome to the Division of Physical Chemistry (PHYS) website. Our division focuses on promoting Physical Chemistry within ACS and on organizing the PHYS Symposia at the National ACS Meetings.

• We invite you to encourage one or more of your junior chemistry majors to participate in an exciting program, "Workshops for Undergraduate Chemistry Majors", now being organized for the National Meeting of the American Chemical Society, August 16-20, 2009, in Washington, DC. The focus audience is junior (rising senior) chemistry majors and applications are due by Feb. 13, 2009.

• If you would like to organize a symposium, please contact Mark Johnson who is currently scheduling for the year 2010. We are always looking for new people to organize. Here are the Instructions for Symposia Organizers. If you would like to propose a symposium in honor of an individual, special policies apply and can be found here.
